The 2016 Charity Partner
This year we are honored to partner with the Martha’s Vineyard Regional High School (MVRHS) Culinary Program as the recipient of 100% of the proceeds from our Silent Auction to take place during the Grand Tasting event on May 14th. Not only that, but the high school students in the culinary program will be involved in various events throughout the festival, so please make sure to support these events with your presence. These students are our future chefs, bakers, and pastry chefs of successful restaurants!
More about the MVRHS Culinary Program: Career Technical Education is problem solving, project driven, competency based learning by students. Learning is aligned to the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks to prepare all students for college and careers, and to provide trained, credentialed, and experienced employees to the community. We are committed to excellence and continuous improvement of student learning in CTE. Our goal is for the students in the Culinary Arts Program to participate successfully in a standards based, diversified educational program in which student and instructor benefit from criteria and performance based assessment, successfully integrated with instruction, and to be prepared to successfully gain employment in a variety of occupational opportunities in the food service industry, or to pursue further studies at a culinary college.
